This is the teacher's guide for the Writing Fiction in High School course. Although the course could probably stand alone, I believe you will find the teacher's guide to be an invaluable help. Besides the answer key, it also contains a lesson plan, discussion questions (especially for the various literature excerpts and movies), and teacher helps.

Writing Fiction [in High School] is written to the student in a conversational tone and requires only minimal parental/teacher guidance. It's packed with literally hundreds of age-appropriate, real-fiction examples from classics, best-sellers, and movies so students can learn how to write their own intriguing short stories or novels. Your students will study and practice essential elements of storywriting and learn to critique their own work and classmates', too. In addition, they'll discuss important ideas about fiction in their groups formed from class members, co-op classes, or friends.

Writing Tales is a comprehensive writing curriculum that teaches from a classical approach. Lessons and practice in grammar, spelling, vocabulary and handwriting are also included. Level Two is written for 4th-5th grade ages, or middle to upper grammar level students.

This is the answer key for Wordly Wise 11 in which homeschool students are presented with 300 new vocabulary words, organized in manageable lessons, with 15 words per lesson and 20 lessons per book. The flexible format makes this is an easy fit into any curriculum. Lessons include: Word study with Greek and Latin roots, prefixes, suffixes, antonyms, synonyms, and analogies;  Using context and syntactic clues;  Content area reading selections;  Dictionary-style word lists; and Understanding multiple meanings.

This workbook is designed for younger students and includes puzzles and worksheet pages to provide further spelling practice. I personally haven't felt the need to use these, but rather use the regular response book for all my children. If you want to provide additional practice for your young student, this may be your answer. See below for information on the Sequential Spelling program. Though the workbook/response book is optional, I have found them to be very helpful. As mentioned, I opt for the response book rather than the workbook.

This is an important concept, because your child will be taught to analyze literature according to the world view of the author and to compare it to the Christian world view! Brilliant!

This is a level two teacher book only. If you are doing Sequential Spelling Level 2 with a younger student, you can purchase a separate level one workbook for younger students (with puzzles and additional spelling practice) (see links below). I personally use the generic response book for all my students regardless of age. But, remember, you are the best judge for YOUR student.  

This is a level seven teacher book only.  The response book is optional (there is no child's workbook for this level). You can do sequential spelling on regular notebook paper; however, I have found the response book to be very helpful to organize the many "tests" and to condense work into a small booklet. I do recommend them even though they are optional.
