If you are doing Sequential Spelling Level 2 with a younger student, you can purchase a separate level one workbook for younger students (with puzzles and additional spelling practice) (see links below). In fact her objectives for the course are two-fold: to gain in competence/skill AND to impact the student's attitude toward writing through encouragement and success.

Word Artist is a simple guide is a delightful introduction to writing poetry.
