TruthQuest Spine books

TruthQuest Spine Books are always discounted at Schoolhouse Publishing!

TruthQuest author Michelle Miller recommends certain core pieces of literature that span the entire scope of the era being studied.  She refers to these as "spines." I recommend that you keep 2 or 3 spine books available while you are working through each TruthQuest guide to help your student tie all his reading together.

Though they are recommended by TruthQuest, these books obviously aren't just supplemental to the TQ curriculum!  In fact, the reason they are recommended by TQ is because they are such great books!  Don't hesitate to add a few of these titles to supplement any history program you are currently using.  Though not required  in TQ, these books are referred to repeatedly and are called "spine books," because they're broad in scope, covering an entire time period.  Each TQ guide recommends several spine books to give your student the full scope of that era.  You don't need all the spine books (I usually have only 2 or 3 for any given era).

This modern classic written by Francis Schaeffer should become a foundation for any study you do on worldviews and history. Mr. Schaeffer addresses key events in the rise and decline of western civilization and analyzes the reasons for modern society's state of affairs presenting the only viable alternative: living by the Christian ethic, acceptance of God's revelation, and total affirmation of the Bible’s truth, morals, values and meaning.

From Sea To Shining Sea
$19.99   $11.97
Softcover, 475 pgs, 9780800733940

"From Sea to Shining Sea" (grades 6-12) is a recommended spine book for several TQ guides: " "Age of Revolution 1," and "Age of Revolution 2." What is a "spine book"? Remember, in TruthQuest history, no single book is "required," however, there are a number of books that are referred to to create an educational/historical spine in which your student can "hang" all his new-found knowledge. If you are using TQ history, you may find it helpful to include one or two of these in your study.
