Time Traveler World War II Unit Study (Homeschool in the Woods) - Homeschool subjects covered: United States History, World War II.
Time Traveler World War II Unit Study is a wonderful way to help your child notebook his way through his studies. Especially suited to wiggly learners who learn best by doing, this complete history program (on CD) includes everything you need! (I should clarify that you will have to supply art supplies.) My sister is using one of the Time Traveler series with her kids this year and she said it is the most successful history program she has ever used! I am also using one of this series this year to complement our studies in ancient history - and I love it! Designed for students in grades 3-8.
Homeschool in the Woods says: "Aiding the Allies in the Fight for Freedom!...We are excited to announce the seventh and final study in the American history series of our Time Travelers! "World War II" contains 25 lessons that can spread across 5-10 weeks, covering over a decade and witnessing changes in American history as it entered another world war! Topics include: the rise of Hitler and the Nazi Regime, German/Italian/Japanese occupations, conflicts and battles between the Axis and Allies, the American home front, the Holocaust, VE and VJ Days, and events immediately following the war!
Written text is included as well as several choices of activities for each lesson.
The World War II CD includes each lesson's text pages, project overview pages, and a wide variety of masters for projects! Photos and drawings help illustrate the directions for completing the 50 activities. Choose the projects that work best for your family! Five "Project Days" are built into the schedule to help allow for extra time to complete outstanding projects.
Also included are teacher helps, resource lists, teacher keys, and a "guide-at-a-glance." This one-page guide will allow the teacher tosee the whole schedule of upcoming topics and projects on one page. Tastefully laid out for inclusion in your three-ring binder, this unit study will give both the teacher and students a thorough, exciting adventure into World War II."
