Thinking Like a Christian: Understanding and Living a Biblical Worldview w/CD Teacher's/Leader's Guide
by David Noebel and Chuck Edwards
"Thinking Like A Christian" Teacher's guide - do you need it? I personally didn't use it since I was just supplementing my sons' course work with this program; however, I've had other moms tell me I was nuts not to have utilized all the wonderful components of this package. It has detailed lesson plans. So, if you want to do this as a complete course, you'll need all the components. If you are supplementing (like I did), you'll only need the Thinking Like a Christian Student Journal (which is consumable).
"Thinking Like A Christian" will help to equip your child to face a Christ-hostile world. Once our kids are “out there” in the world, they will be (or already are being) bombarded by secular world views that are “sophisticated, scientific, contemporary, and aware. Each daily session will be an eye-opening experience that gives hope, meaning and a greater understanding of how God fits into every part of your life. "Thinking Like a Christian" makes it clear that biblical Christianity is the real alternative to the virtual thinking of our times.” This 11-week course (with daily assignments) is part Bible study, part logic, and part study of world philosophies and the sciences. My 10th-grade son was so captivated by the compelling logic in this book, that he started journaling his findings (something he’s never done before, nor did I require)! I combined this course with "The Fallacy Detective," and "Growing Up Christian" for a full-year's language arts that prepared them for college and to face the world. (See descriptions of these other products in the Language Arts section.)
