Though The Creative Writer Level 2: Essential Ingredients can stand alone (no prerequisite), it DOES build in the first volume. If your student is a beginner, you may want to start with level one, but if your student has some experience, you can easily jump into level 2. Like the first level, the first 18 weeks of level 2 are a study of fiction writing and include lessons in plot, characterization, dialogue, point of view, and more. The second 18 weeks are a study of writing poetry, and include fun and imaginative lessons.
