In this economy it's always helpful to find ways to either save money or make money. We at Schoolhouse Publishing truly understand - as we've experienced unemployment for nearly two years in the past (we really are homeschooling right alongside you!). We wanted to find ways to make your homeschool curriculum even more affordable.

Here's how: Simply write a review for your favorite books and curriculum here on our website, and we'll pay you $1 per review, good toward purchases at Schoolhouse Publishing (see below for details)!

• Go to any book on our website, click on the review tab, and type in your review.
• Each review must be at least 1 paragraph in length explaining why you liked the book or curriculum, or how your kids liked it, or how you used it. You can review up to 10 different products (a total of $10 earned).
• Shoot us an email letting us know you wrote a review so we can email you back. On August 1, we'll email you a coupon code in the amount you earned, good toward any purchase at Schoolhouse Publishing (just enter your coupon code when you check out, and the amount earned will be deducted from your total). Multiple family members can also write reviews, but it will have to be under their own account.

Home School Affidavits and Objectives

Yes, it's that time of the year again for those of you who live in Pennsylvania! But don't despair. It's much easier than you might think. I've attached a simple form you can fill out and turn in to your school district if you don't already have one. To make it even easier, I would suggest that you take the time to retype it and save it on your own computer with all the information already filled in. Then in subsequent years all you have to do is change the dates and grades.

As part of the affidavit, you'll see a sample of my objectives. You'll see they're pretty basic, with very little detail. I change the photos each year (but you don't have to even have photos!), and the subject and book titles (you don't have to have book titles either). Basically if you say "Bobby will be learning grade-appropriate math," etc., you should be fine.

And, if you live close to us, Dale is a notary. He would be happy to notarize your affidavit for you - for free. Just shoot us an email so he can set a time for you!

Creative writing is one of my favorite subjects. I've always loved writing! For me, personally, it's my favorite way of communicating. Writing is the way I've shared with so many of you my own homeschool journey...and how you've shared with me as well. If ONLY I could pass the love of writing on to my children!

The Kingdom Series novels and the Knights of Arrethtrea are biblical allegories that are set in a medieval time period. They are full of action and adventure where swords, knights, and battles are all biblically symbolic. The characters portray courage, loyalty, discipline, and honor. There is no magic, wizardry, or mysticism in the Kingdom Series.
