The Circle Trilogy Book 2: Red - The Heroic Rescue

The mind-bending pace of "Black" accelerates in "Red," Book Two of Ted Dekker's groundbreaking Circle trilogy. Less than a month ago, Thomas Hunter was a failed writer selling coffee at the Java Hut in Denver. Now he finds himself in a desperate quest to rescue two worlds from collapse. In one world, he's a battle-scarred general commanding an army of primitive warriors. In the other, he's racing to outwit sadistic terrorists intent on creating global chaos through an unstoppable virus.

Two worlds on the brink of destruction. One unthinkable solution.

The Circle Trilogy Book 2

Red - The Heroic Rescue

by Ted Dekker

(Cover may differ from what is shown.) Red is the second book in the Circle Series by Ted Dekker. Thomas, our hero, continues to live in alternate realities. However, now there is a major shift. In the one reality, the antichrist figure has released a deadly virus that is rapidly killing the population of the entire world, and only Thomas can stop him. In the other reality, the survivors of 'the fall' have been sent from 'Eden' to live in this horrible sin-cursed world. Their only hope is the kindness of God and His provision of water that washes away their sin-curse. Without this life-giving water, these few survivors would become 'scabs' - walking dead. It's an amazing analogy. The scabs are completely unaware of their need, but revel in their death-like existence, terrified of the life-giving water. Thomas and his people, like many of us modern Christians, have a hard time realizing that they are no different than the 'scabs' - apart from God's grace. Thomas's non-violent followers try to survive against the scabs, but the scabs are intent on destroying every last follower of God from the earth...and they nearly succeed.
