This little "I Can Read Book" follows the story of a family of Swedish immigrants as they arrive in New York harbor, travel across several states, cross the Mississippi, and eventually arrive to settle in Minnesota. This story, for grades 1-3, explores some of the reasons why families would uproot themselves from all they know and love to face the hardships of an unknown land.
