A Noble Experiment, The History and Nature of the American Government
Government and Civics is always discounted at Schoolhouse Publishing Homeschool Store.
If you have more than one student using A Noble Experiment, you can purchase an extra student activity book (one already comes with the set).
I believe most homeschoolers dream of making a difference in today's society, restoring our freedoms and rights, and righting so many wrongs. We are also seriously aware that this will never happen unless our students are well versed in political philosophy - and in particular, the Bible and the philosophies of our founding fathers. After all, our students are the product of 21st century America, despite all our attempts to shield and protect them.
All of that being said, this year we found a wonderful new program that will teach your students conservative, foundational government in a deep, thorough, but easy-to-implement format. Introducing Zeezok Publishing's A Noble Experiment.
The Nobel Experiment student activity book is marvelous. Please note that you cannot complete this book apart from the DVD's. Having said that, let me tell you about this book. At the beginning is a very clear, step-by-step lesson plan for the student. Designed to be done 3 non-consecutive days per week (M,W,F), the activity book walks the student through 48 lessons. Twenty-four of those lessons have an accompanying video. The others involve reading source documents, taking quizzes, and even watching the movie Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Everything your student needs (except the aforementioned movie and DVD's) is contained in the activity book, including original source documents, notebook pages, lesson plan, tests and quizzes, projects, and even a place for him to build his own glossary.
The full course is intended for high school students and is equal to a one semester course, covering all the national standards for high school civics and government, as well as the subject matter traditionally included in secondary government courses.
If you are looking for a deep, thorough, yet easy-to-understand conservative civics course, this may be the course you are looking for! I know I'm impressed!
